Our Mission...

...is to recruit, train and support volunteers who visit and befriend isolated older adults in the Evanston and neighboring communities.

Since 1991 we have paired isolated older adults with caring volunteers to form ongoing friendships. Donations support our work; there is no cost to any senior for becoming involved with Senior Connections. We uphold that every person has something of value to offer and their experiences, skills and interests can significantly impact the lives of others. We know engagement in the community and relationships at any age promote wellness, vitality and an enhanced quality of life.

SENIOR CONNECTIONS MERGING WITH SASI

We are proud and excited to announce that Senior Connections has signed a merger agreement with Services for Adults Staying in Their Homes (SASI). We will continue to provide the same volunteer visiting service that we have for 26 years, and there will be no disruption as we complete our transition. To learn more about the merger and what it means for Senior Connections and for YOU, please read this letter from our outgoing Executive Director, Barbara Sittler.

THANK YOU!

for joining us in reducing the isolation of older adults in our community. Evanston is enriched innumerably by the addition of every senior's experience, wisdom, guidance, and compassion, which otherwise might have been lost.  Please feel free to browse around our website to learn more about the work you are making possible and the lives that you are touching through your donation.

You are welcome to mail your gift directly to us at 1123 Emerson St. Suite 200, Evanston, IL 60201, or to donate it online through Network for Good.  Every gift, regardless of size, is appreciated.
